Most V40s on the market right now date from 2017-2020, so this 2021 stands out as one of the newer ones available. UK VAT paid, lying in Swanwick, ready for day trips around the Solent or a proper week aboard.
The cockpit is where she earns her keep: teak underfoot, a wet bar with a built-in BBQ, fridge and sink. The aft seating opens into sun pads either side of the stern, and bow sunbeds add another spot to stretch out. An electric sunroof opens the helm to the weather on a good day, and a hydraulic platform handles swimming, paddleboards and loading the Zodiac 270 tender - supplied with its own electric air pump in the transom garage. Ground tackle runs to an Ultra anchor with a flip swivel, and a deck wash point and engine room hatch round out a well-equipped deck.
Below, the saloon is built for living on, not just visiting for the weekend- U-shaped seating around a high-low table, an LG TV, and a galley finished in an Ice Crystal Corian worktop with the look of marble, plus a Samsung grill microwave and two electric hobs. A full set of Princess-branded crockery and cutlery comes with her. Forward, the master cabin is the standout. Carpeted, a full-size double bed on a bespoke mattress, storage down both sides, and a wardrobe with proper head height. Her en-suite is a Jack & Jill design, opening into the saloon as well as the cabin, so it works as the day head too. Aft, the midship twin cabin holds a sofa at the foot of the beds and storage wherever there's a gap for it.
Twin Volvo Penta D6-340 DP diesels put out 680hp combined, and with only 348 hours on the clock (in use). A Side-Power bow thruster with its own remote makes close-quarters handling easy single handed, as well as having the joystick control if required. At the helm, a 16" Raymarine touchscreen chartplotter, twin engine displays and a Quantum 2 radar with AIS mean she's just as capable running later in the season as in the height of summer, backed up by an Onan generator, upgraded AGM batteries and a Schenker watermaker for longer trips away from shore power.
